What is indoor rock climbing?
Indoor climbing is a full body and mind activity where your goal is to reach the top of a course we set.
Rock climbing is the act of climbing rocks… simple right? You may have gotten an idea of what climbing is after watching Free Solo or the new climbing events in the Olympics. These are all forms of rock climbing!
Indoor rock climbs are created using a series of artificial holds. Holds of different shapes and sizes are installed on walls to create puzzles known as problems.
You’ll have to use a mix of strength, balance, and problem solving to solve climbs. You’ll discover challenges unique to you and you’ll get super stoked when you overcome them.
What are we building?
We are building a local indoor bouldering gym in Corona for a new and growing community.
Our climbing gym will be focused on what’s called bouldering. Bouldering is climbing routes on short walls which does not require ropes for safety. You’ll land on a dense impact mat that covers the entirety of your falling zone.
Our space will be welcoming to those unfamiliar with indoor climbing. You’ll be able to meet new people and participate in a fun and visually artful activity.
For those looking for a challenge or want to be more involved in the sport expect diverse and high graded climbs.
Whatever level you may be our programs and tools will keep you engaged and help you reach you reach your goals you make during your visit.
Why?
We love climbing. We want to share and develop this new community with you!
We’ve been in sports our whole lives. Climbing is an engaging and low impact activity that will challenge your mind body connection and awareness.
It has one of the most diverse communities. You get to meet and connect with people from all walks of life because it is an activity that is so accessible.
Climbing as a sport is relatively new and we want to help grow the sport. A lot of people are still unaware of climbing and how easy it is to get into.
Growing worldwide, one of our goals is to make climbing more known, especially locally, and establish it as a traditional sport.
We want to share with you the positive experiences and benefits we’ve witnessed.
